How to contribute to CompileGate

Code is one way to help, but thoughtful design, testing, writing and questions matter too.

People collaborating around an open project.

You don't have to be a senior developer to help. Code is one way to contribute, but not the only one.

Developers: fix a bug, improve a feature or review a pull request.

Designers: improve interfaces, icons and accessibility.

Testers: try our tools and report what doesn't work.

Writers and translators: improve documentation and make it available in more languages.

To get started:

1. Browse our projects and pick one that interests you.
2. Open its repository and look for issues marked "good first issue".
3. Comment on the one you'd like to take, so we can avoid duplicate work.
4. Submit your changes and we'll review them together.

Not sure where to start? Write to us through the contact page. We'll help you find a first task.
